Patrick Mifsud (b. 1984) has been fascinated by art since young. He first studied the basic art techniques under the tuition of Mr. Lewis Wirth and continues his studies to the present day. He was reading a Bachelors degree in Communications and Theatre Studies at the University of Malta, but lately his plans changed and he entered MCAST in which he is studying Art and Design. His canvases are mainly dominated by different colour compositions, which give a clearly felt impression of movement. His abstract paintings clearly show his strong influence from the ‘abstract expressionist’ movement. Though he is still young, Patrick has participated in numerous collective exhibitions, and has also held a small solo exhibition in 2004. While painting nearly every day, Patrick’s intentions are to continue studying art and to keep on exploring the world of art
