Marsovin Summer Wine Festival

On the 25th, 26th, 27th & 28th June from 8pm till 1am, Marsovin is planning to hold its third edition of their Wine Festival at Hastings Gardens in Valletta.

The aim of the event is not only to promote Marsovin’s wines, but also to present a cultural event tied to a Mediterranean theme. Hastings Gardens will be split into four sections each representing a different country: Italy, Malta, Spain and Morocco. Every area will host its own musicians playing and performing different styles of music and dance.

Marsovin Summer Wine Festival is set to be a Wine Festival with a difference. The location alone lends itself perfectly to a walk through garden wine festival. The event plans to have a highly cultural, entertaining concept offering a myriad of professional musicians, such as Flamenco dancers, live bands, chill out music and last but not least one of Malta’s leading groups, Tribali, who will be performing an improvised jam accompanied by a professional belly dancer.

Though normally football and wine are not commonly associated, it seems that this trend is changing. Worldwide football and wine seem to be partnering up to promote each other. Marsovin is following this change by offering all of those wine and football enthusiasts the opportunity to watch the FIFA world cup matches during the festival. So rest assured you won’t miss a game if you come to the Wine Festival this year!

The catering for this year’s edition has been organized differently. For the first time, Marsovin has engaged various restaurants to show case their cuisine offering a small but enticing selection at very reasonable prices, lower than previous years. Merisi, will be offering freshly made pizza on site and a variety of pasta; The Chef restaurant will be offering a variety of Moroccan style dishes; Salvino’s will be serving suckling pig and other Maltese specialties; Chukkas Grill will be offering a variety of meats freshly grilled; Cater Essence will be offering a delicious variety of freshly baked cakes and pastries.

Marsovin is offering more value this year to its customer with a special offer of a 10 Euro entrance fee which includes a premium festival wine glass and 10 Euro worth of wine tokens, with which one can either taste up to 20 different wines or drink a selection of wines by the glass or by the bottle. Alternatively, for those that wish to pay less, there is a standard entrance fee of 5 Euro which entitles them to the festival wine glass and a 2 Euro token which can be redeemed for up to 4 tasters, or one glass of wine.

Marsovin is offering a selection of thirty different D.O.K. and I.G.T. wines from grapes grown around Malta and Gozo. Though Marsovin encourages its guests to taste its extensive range of wines, it also encourages drinking in moderation and safe driving.

So indulge your senses and be sure not to miss the Marsovin Summer Wine Festival
